Description
In this eight-week class, we will create a simple project that showcases a typical workflow in Unreal Engine to an XR Production. Through hands-on examples, we will learn the different uses and tools in virtual production: set up a level, import and review 3D assets, build and light basic environments, and create a scene using real-time workflows. Participants will explore how the Unreal Engine can be used for different roles throughout the film industry and essential art pipelines used in the growing field of Virtual Production.
Learning Objectives
Demonstrate proficiency in navigating the Unreal Engine interface
Create and implement different types of blueprints in Unreal Engine
Understand the fundamentals of animations,
Compose and orchestrate cinematic sequences using the Master Sequencer in Unreal Engine.
Participate in an XR virtual production shoot with a greenscreen setup, applying the learned skills to produce a complete virtual environment and integrate real-time elements with live-action footage.
